Amanda Cobbett; Artist, Crafts person, Textile Designer
Amanda lives in the picturesque Surrey Hills and works from her studio creating beautiful sculptures of birds, animals and people using a mixture of papier mache', wire, found objects and vintage fabrics.
Amanda trained as a printed textile designer at Chelsea College of Art and after graduating in 1994 has worked professionally in this field.
Printmaking still features in her day to day working and is a constant source of inspiration, this combined with colour, intricacy, automata, a collection of salvaged materials and the setting of a tiny scene; they all play a part in the creative process.
