Anja von Kalinowski graduated with a BA in Theatre Studies from Croydon College of Art & Design in 2000, specializing in set design for opera and scenic painting. She proceeded to take an apprenticeship in women’s tailoring at the prestigious Elise Topell Couture atelier in Wiesbaden, Germany before working at the Vivienne Westwood Couture department until 2011, while simultaneously studying “Traditional Needlework” at the Royal School of Needlework after being rewarded with the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship in 2010. Anja is currently studying towards an MA in Fine Art at City & Guilds of London School of Art and works as a freelance tailor for the Royal Household.
