skin and bones

by Eleanor Mccaughey

Eleanor McCaughey's work becomes an accumulation of imagery from a variety of sources
including, photographs, encyclopedias, magazines, google images, television and film stills. Eleanor is
interested in the juxtaposition of found and personal imagery, using painting and sculpture as a means
to create, altered places, non spaces and ambiguous narratives. Concealing the figuritive in order to reveal a presence, encoding in order to make something visible. She encourages the viewer to engage with the work in a personal
way, bringing their individual archive of imagery and perspective to the composition.
