My work is largely inspired by landscape, particularly the urban edgeland areas of Sheffield and the rural backdrop of the Peak District which are close to where I live.  I am particularly drawn to locations that are often overlooked or neglected. I am also fascinated by the capacity of a place to absorb memories and experiences. At the moment I am exploring Park Hill Flats a huge council estate in the heart of Sheffield. It is Britains largest example of Brutalist architecture and has been granted  Grade2* listed status, it is currently undergoing re-furbishment.
I work in paint(mixed media) and print (etchings, collagraphs and lino).
