Circus 2

by Martyna Zoltaszek

I studied Fine Art and Illustration at the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts in my home country, Poland. In 2004, I graduated with Masters Degree, before going on to gain a scholarship to study in Tennessee, USA. After some time travelling, I am now residing in the UK and have settled into East London studio life.

I enjoy creating worlds and expressing random thoughts with the wonderful medium of paint. In constant search for new discoveries, I like experimenting with media. Most of my works will be created using acrylic or oil paint and sometimes elements of collage on canvas. I tediously execute my paintings, building up multitude of layers and work with contrast of rough and smooth textures and transparencies.

The nature inspires me, or anything else that I connect to, be it vibrant urban scene or a piece of music.
