Most of my textile work is handwoven on a loom. I use a lot of rug wool, paper yarn and raffia for the textures and shine. My textiles are often very 3-dimensional. I am currently working on my Newspaper series, still a work in progress hoping to finish it early 2013. This differs from my usual work as it catches the viewer with simplistic image. This whole series came about the never ending news stories about killings, wars, natural disasters, floods and famine and how quickly we satisfy our hunger for news and then get bored with it and want to move on to the next piece of news.
