Born in Barnstaple, Devon in 1946, Trevor Eastell was enthused as a schoolboy in the late 50”s and early 60’s by inspirational art teacher Jerry Hicks at Cotham Grammar School in Bristol. Trevor went on to study Architecture at Sheffield University and, from that time until the last few years painting has taken second place to his career as an architect, initially in Yorkshire, but principally in Bristol and the South West. Since 2006 he has been a regular exhibitor at the “Front Room” open studio Art Trail in Totterdown, Bristol and in 2010 submitted himself, successfully, to the rigorous selection process of the Bristol Savages group of artists.
